The lockdown has been lifted at several schools in northern Iowa...

Students were not able to attend class at Calmar, Ossian, and other nearby towns on Tuesday, because police were searching for somebody who fired a weapon in Ossian on Tuesday morning. An arrest was reported later in the day, and that ended the threat. Students in the South Winneshiek schools, including those who rode the school buses, spent the class hours at a designated 'crisis area' away from their school buildings.
