Council Opts for New Look at Structure and Hearing Changes
Plenty of complaints from the public regarding the La Crosse city council decision's last month to complicate the process of addressing the entire council. Now the council has backed away from that decision and will vote on council meeting changes next month. Better than getting rid of the public's voice at meetings, some would say. The council last month opted to dump open public hearings in front of the whole council unless a member of the public could get five council member signatures before a regular meeting.
