Blame Normal for Heating Bills Heading Higher

Natural gas is still at historically cheap prices.  Cheaper than last year even.  Then why are projections for higher heating costs this year?  Only because this winter is expected to be closer to a normal heating season.  Unlike last year's unusually high temperatures

 

 

Brian Elwood from Xcel energy.  The feds say expect a jump of 15% on heating bills this winter.  Higher if you're heating with fuel oil.
