Attorney In O'Malley Ethics Case Gets Honor From State Bar

A La Crosse attorney has been named to chair a branch of the state bar association...

Bernardo Cueto will head the bar's Civil Rights and Liberties section. It's regarded as a recognition of Cueto's criminal defense work and his participation in civil rights cases.  Cueto says the appointment will mean more work, but also more involvement in the area of the law that's his specialty. Cueto has been representing a local watchdog group in its ethics complaint against La Crosse County Administrator Steve O'Malley.
