Pot Fight May Be Reason For Jackson Co Shooting

An apparent fight over growing marijuana may have led to a shooting last night in Jackson County...

A 23-year-old man has been treated for a bullet wound in the back, and an older man is accused of the shooting. Sixty-one-year-old Michael Charles of the town of Franklin is being held without bond in the Jackson County Jail, on a charge of endangering safety. A 22-caliber rifle was seized at the Charles home near Taylor, along with some marijuana. Sheriff's officers say Charles was upset with the shooting victim for going to a place where marijuana was being grown.
