Escapees In Florida Court.....Not Coming Home Anytime Soon

The two felons that walked away from a correctional facility in Black River Falls only to be captured later in Florida, will not be coming back to the Badger state anytime soon.

Both James Newman and James Mislevec were in Florida court rooms today. And both waived extradition back to Wisconsin. But that won't happen for awhile. Both are facing identical charges in Hillsbourough County, Florida in relation to the vicious beating of a 71 year old store clerk. And in Broward County, Newman is charged with Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer, Grand Theft Auto, Resisting Arrest Without Violence and Loitering. Misleveck is charged with Loitering/Prowling. Both will have to face those charges before being returned to Wisconsin where they face a slew of charges. On Wednesday, a federal grand jury sitting in western Wisconsin indicted both men on a felony firearms charge.
