Cornfield Fire Death In Tremp. County
The very dry Wisconsin weather over the last month may be partly to blame for a farming fire that killed an Osseo man.
Spencer Pederson died Saturday at a St. Paul hospital after being burned severely in a cornfield in the town of Hale. Pederson was 83. He had been driving a tractor through a field, and the Osseo fire chief thinks heat from the tractor might have ignited dry plants in the field. A second man was taken to the Osseo hospital for treatment.
