Original Look Of Riverside Bandshell Could Be Restored

It's a popular site for band concerts, and performances during Riverfest and the Rotary Lights celebration.

The bandshell in La Crosse's Riverside Park is due for another renovation, according to the man in charge of the park department. Steve Carlyon wants to see the bandshell returned to its original appearance, making it much smaller...the way it was built 100 years ago.

Carlyon expects the project to happen in the next year or two. He's taking his cue from the recent rebuilding of the shelter atop Grandad Bluff, to look more like its original design.
