Arrest Made In 2 Year Old Monroe County Crash Death
The Monroe County Sheriff's Department has made an arrest in a two year old vehicular homicide case. At the time of the accident, in 2009, it couldn't be determined who the driver of the car was. A combination of DNA evidence, and witnesses in the investigation allowed detectives to make an arrest. Until today. 26 year old Jason Schodeberg was arrested for killing his brother in a car crash in July of '09. He is being held in the Monroe County Jail pending a bond hearing on Monday.
The accident occurred in front of a residence on Highway 33 in Cashton. Detectives were able to establish that Schodeberg was the driver of the vehicle that killed his brother, Glenn , who was 30 at the time of the crash. They say alcohol was involved. Schodeberg was arrested with a charge of Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
The District Attorney's Office will determine actual charges in the matter.
