Study Finds Safe Water Not Always a Given in Some Communities
You can sometimes smell the chlorine in the drinking water coming from your tap. And that may not be such a bad thing. In fact, a new Wisconsin study found several instances of human viruses showing up in water supplies that were not disinfected through chlorination or some other process. Water systems in Wisconsin typically use chlorine or ultraviolet light to disinfect water. But there are 60 systems that use no disinfecting process at all.
