Car Theft Suspect Going To Trial

One day this winter, a Viterbo student parked his car to go to class...and when class was over, the car was missing.

Almost a week later, police caught up with the stolen Dodge Neon. It was in an accident, in Montana. A Viroqua man was behind the wheel, and he crashed the car into a parked truck. David Martinez was accused of driving O-W-I. Now, Martinez is in La Crosse County jail, pleading 'not guilty' to car theft. He's a repeat offender, and could get eight years in prison if he's convicted.
