U.S. Representative Ron Kind opposed a Republican
budget reconciliation bill last week that he says will hurt children and seniors. Kind says now, with their feet to the fire, the Republicans, who authored the original bill, are changing the rules and doing everything they can to protect the defense budget, tax breaks for the wealthy, and subsidies for big oil by gouging programs for women, children and seniors. He says this is unacceptable.

The senate gets it's first look at the bill this week after it barely passed the house last week.
