Dispatcher Recognizes Caller on 911 Hang Up
You know you've had a little too much contact police when an emergency dispatcher recognizes your voice during a 911 hang-up call. That's Timothy Clinch, apparently. The dispatcher says the 44 year-old called La Crosse 911 from a convenience store phone on Saturday night, made some disparaging comments about the mayor's sexuality and then hung up. Video surveillance confirmed the guy's identity. Police tracked Clinch to his apartment but he didn't go quietly. Police say Clinch threw an alarm clock at the arresting officer, burned him with a cigarette and had to be physically convinced to walk to the squad car. They say Clinch also spit on the cop on the way to jail.
