La Follette Brings Governor Campaign To La Crosse

Twenty years ago, Russ Feingold emerged as a surprise winner in the race for U-S Senate in Wisconsin, defeating better-known opponents who attacked each other and ignored him.

Doug La Follette is hoping for that same kind of underdog luck in his campaign for governor this year.

Democrat La Follette thinks he has a good chance to beat Walker, if some Republicans and independents vote for him. The secretary of state spent some time in downtown La Crosse this morning, meeting voters on the street and at the public library.
