Onalaska School District Settles On Insurance Carriers

Having to change the ways employees of the Onalaksa School District are covered by health insurance was one task that had to be done this year. This after the loss of $1.5 million in state money this year. Larry Dalton, Director of Finance & Business Services, says the school board was prepared for this change.

The end result......the district will work with Gundersen Lutheran Health Plan and Mayo's Health Tradition Health Plan to offer employees the choice of insurance companies and health care providers. All at a savings of $800 thousand.
