Drug Suspect Might Get Refund Of His Refund

A drug suspect in the La Crosse County jail would like his money back...

More than two thousand dollars in cash was taken from Jamario McKnight when he was arrested last month. Investigators believe it may be drug money, but McKnight claims it came from a tax refund. Prosecutor Brian Barton and reserve Judge John Perlich discussed whether federal agents have taken control of McKnight's money, with the judge asking "When was the last time the feds didn't grab whatever they could get their hands on?"  Perlich says if the cash is needed as evidence, perhaps photocopies could be made for the trial, and the actual money could go back to McKnight.
