State Reaching Out To Help Jobless Veterans

Picture the Wisconsin economy as a patient in a hospital...

One member of Governor Walker's cabinet says the state was bleeding jobs for years, but in the last few months, we've 'stopped the bleeding.' Reggie Newson, the secretary of Workforce Development, uses that comparison to show that employment prospects are getting better, especially for veterans. Newson says job centers around Wisconsin are ready to help veterans who are in the job market.

A special career fair for veterans is planned the last week of June at the Western Tech campus in La Crosse. It's one of more than a dozen scheduled around the state between now and December.
