Doyle Thinks Better Mining Bill Could Bring Gogebic Back

The mining company that says it doesn't want to do business in Wisconsin any more may not be gone for good.

Assemblyman Steve Doyle of Onalaska predicts that the Gogebic Mining company can be wooed back to Wisconsin, if an appealing mining bill can be passed.

Gogebic blamed the state Senate's failure to pass mining regulations for its decision to stop a 700-job project in northern Wisconsin. Democrat Doyle thinks the lesson to be learned from the mining fight is that the two parties must be more willing to work together.
