Governor Walker Says Lets Get To Work
Governor Scott Walker used last nights state of the state address to tout job creation and getting the state's education process going in the right direction. In betweeen shouts from the gallery...the Governor said he was proud of where Wisconsin is right now.
In his remarks, the Governor discussed how the decisions made this year
benefit the state now and in the future. He noted that in his first year in
office, the state balanced a $3.6 billion budget deficit while avoiding mass
layoffs and billion
dollar tax increases. And he noted that K-12 property tax rates are down for the first time in years. The governor ended the 45 minute speech by saying now is the time to get our state working again.
