City Likely to Close Intersections to Head Off Horns

It's going to get loud on the southside of La Crosse if something doesn't change.  The city has until June of next year to improve intersections along the Burlington Northern rail spur that runs to City Brewery.  Otherwise train horns will start blowing.

City councilman Fran Formanek's district is one of those through which the rail spur runs.  He says the city will likely close several intersections that cross the spur to limit the cost of the needed improvements.
