Goodwill Decision Could Cost Thousands in Property Taxes

La Crosse is on the verge of losing more taxable property to a tax exemption.  The city council tonight could decide the fate of a potential Goodwill store that could move into part of the former southside Quillin's store.  Sure, that will cost the city in taxes, says Goodwill board chair, Greg Curry.  But it also adds to the city in other ways.  Like employment training

Goodwill needs approval from the council to split the property that the old Quillin's sits on.  Curry says, if they don't get that permission, the board just might buy the whole thing.
