Holiday Train To Stop In Lacrescent and Winona This Weekend

The 2011 Holiday Train will roll into Lacrescent tonight at 8:45. The train stops at 215 South Chesnut Street. Admission to the train and the show is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item. All donations are given to the local food shelf. This year's show has a brand new stage and lighting design with 3 miles of LED rope lighting. The headline performer will be Milwaukee folk-rocker Willy Porter. Sara Proud with Canadian Pacific says the crowds have been great so far.

Now the Holiday Train also stops in Winona on Saturday at 5:00 pm at the Amtrak Station. Last year's visit to Winona brought out close to 7,000 people. Since its launch in 1999, the Holiday Train program has raised close to $5.6 million and 2.5 million pounds of food for North American food banks.
