Historical EAS Test Is Wednesday

There are a couple of concerns floating around today's national test of the Emergency Broadcast System. WIZM'S Dan Deicher has the story.

For years we would normally only hear..............

on a statewide level.......usually meaning there's bad weather coming. But the historical nationwide test today at 1pm central time....has some people wondering why this has to go national. Tod Pritchard with the state's EMS department tried to answer that question.

He says sometimes, people have the ten­dency to hear the EAS message, not think too much about it and then continue about their daily routine. Pritchard suggested resi­dents heed the messages' advice to ensure their safety and security. But remember........
