Arcadia Going To The Voters For Moolah
In Arcadia.....the current building that houses K-8th students is about 100 years old. It uses up to three times as much energy as a more efficient system. And the problem couldn't be easily addressed because the school couldn't afford to upgrade the building to comply with current zoning laws. And there's more.
That's why the district is asking voters there today to approve spending $24
million a brand new building that would be built close to the high school.
Superintendent Louie Ferguson says having the two buildings closer together
would also make for
more efficient use of staff, classroom space and athletic fields.
