Shilling To Hold Public Hearing On Healthcare

Senator Jennifer Shilling will host a public hearing with other legislators from western
Wisconsin regarding Governor Walker's proposal to drop coverage, reduce
health services, and increase out-of-pocket costs for our most
vulnerable citizens.

This hearing is in response to the Department of Health Services' plan
to make $554 million in cuts to the state's health care programs for
eligible seniors, children, families and people with disabilities. A
brief presentation on the proposed cuts will be provided at the start of
the hearing before members of the public will have an opportunity to
share their personal stories and opinions regarding these proposals.

It will be held next Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 the UW La Crosse Cartwright.
This event is open to the public.
