Safe, Cash Missing in La Crosse Bar Heist

A Sunday burglary in downtown La Crosse has left a bar owner without his safe and a big pile of cash. Police say someone forced their way through the back door of the Popcorn Tavern on fourth street sometime after four on Sunday morning. Then through another door where the safe was sitting. Thousands of dollars inside. Thieves took the whole thing. They may have also taken some booze. But they did leave behind some chisels and a knife. Cops are hoping to use those and some possible surveillance video from the Grand River Station bus depot to nail the perps.
