Multiple Accidents, Scuffle With Cops, 5th OWI; Rough Week-end for La Crosse Guy

A La Crosse parking cop helped nail a drunk driver this week-end. Police say the off-duty Civilian Service Employee--or, CSE--stopped to help at an accident on the southside on Saturday. Apparently a truck had run into a lawn mower. Dude in the truck, 38 year-old Kim Hebel, took off and the CSE followed him. At one point, cops say Hebel tried to ram the CSE's car. Dispatch got a play by play of the pursuit. County cops eventually nabbed Hebel after he hit two cars. They say he was pretty solidly drunk. He faces a couple hit and run charges and a couple charges for his scuffle with deputies. They say it's also Hebel's fifth OWI.
