Wrestling Events Pits Stars Vs. Locals
For the first time ever in the Coulee Region, a handful of current professional wrestlers will join forces for the creation of Freedom Pro Wrestling, an independent professional wrestling franchise owned and operated in Western Wisconsin. This summer’s event will be called “Summer Sizzler” and will take place at the Onalaska Omni Center on Saturday, August 13, at 7:00 p.m.
Highlighting the event, presented in conjunction with 95.7 FM The Rock, will be the main event match between WWE legend Kevin Nash and former WWE superstar Carlito. Other former WWE superstars highlighting the card are Al Snow and the New Age Outlaws featuring Billy Gun and Jesse James. Current champion of TNA wrestling, Eric Young, will also be in the ring. Also for the first time in this area, Kevin Nash will be available for a special private meet & greet autograph session with fans.
Giving a local flair, Freedom Pro Wrestling is introducing the Coulee Cup. This will be an invitational over the top rope battle royal. To sweeten the deal, the winner of the Coulee Cup will have $1,000 donated to the local charity of their choice. Already accepting invitations are members of the La Crosse Spartans indoor football team. Spartans players Ryan Maiuri, James Washington, Richard Chambers, Walner Belleus, and Xzavie Jackson look to prove sports superiority. Also accepting an invitation to participate in the Coulee Cup is former 95th District State Assembly candidate, Julian Bradley.
VIP passes are available for the private meet & greet party as well as the event itself for just $50. Floor seats are being sold for $20, with general admission bleacher seating available for $10 as well.
