New Fluoride System In Holmen Could Be Halted

The fluoride fight isn't over in Holmen...even though fluoridation in the village officially began on Monday.

A special village board meeting is set for next week, to decide whether fluoridation should be halted, pending possible rule changes being considered in Washington. Public works director Robert Haines says the fluoride level being used in Holmen is already the state minimum.  But two federal agencies have hinted they could mandate a lower fluoride level than what's being used in Wisconsin.
