Union Accuses Governor Of 'Attack' On State Workers

A 'brazen attack' on the middle class...

That's how La Crosse Democrat Jennifer Shilling describes Governor Walker's bill to reform negotiations with state employees. Republican Walker has cancelled the extensions on five contracts that expired two years ago. State Rep Shilling says the Walker bill will wreck decades of negotiations between the state and its workers. Former state labor negotiator Joe Wineke says state workers also may find it harder to settle grievances.  Wineke says a typical state employee making 50-thousand dollars a year would lose nearly three thousand dollars in income, through Walker's plan.
