La Crosse man facing drug trafficking charges

Written by

A La Crosse drug suspect with a long court record is now being charged with drug  trafficking, along with possessing and delivering dangerous drugs.

Bond for 44-year-old Lonell Powers has been set at $20,000.

Powers was jailed over the weekend for allegedly possessing and delivering meth and 'bath salts.'

A February search of Powers' home in south La Crosse also turned up heroin, prescription drugs and Narcan.

Shortly before that search, a police informant went to the Powers house and came out 10 minutes later with a bag of meth, bought for $200.
