Public input desired on final La Crosse Center renovation plans Featured

If you don't like what you see in the future plans for the La Crosse Center, speak up.

That's the advice from Jessica Olson, who represents the city council on the Center Board, planning for the massive $49 million renovation.

She wants input from the public on what could be controversial decisions related to the building.

"At this point, I don't ask anybody to agree or disagree,' she said. "Just please examine what the next information is coming forward and help us make the next decision.

"Keep an open mind, please. Come ot our meetings. Meet our people. Talk. Express yourself constructively based on the facts."

Architects this week staked out the space in Riverside Park over which the La Crosse Center would extend, covering thousands of square feet of the park and extending nearly to the Mississippi River.

The city council has yet to approve a final design for the center but architects this week staked out the area in Riverside Park over which a La Crosse Center expansion would extend.
