Council member calls north side facade grant program, 'win win' for businesses and taxpayers

Written by

Money in a program to help spruce up businesses on the north side of La Crosse won't go to waste.

North side city council rep. Andrea Richmond, speaking Monday on WIZM, said a new facade improvement program for the north side will be a good investment.

"I think it’s a win-win for the taxpayers and a win-win for the businesses, as well,” Richmond said.

The city council this week is expected to give final approval to an initial $60,000 in grants to help north side businesses improve the look of their buildings. Grants would max out at $10,000 each.
