Milwaukee's Reefer Ticket Model

Written by
Who knew La Crosse was on the cutting edge?  Milwaukee became just the latest city in the state to decriminalize small amounts of pot possession this month.  La Crosse made a similar move four years ago.  Which is exactly the direction the state should be going, says Molly Collins with the Wisconsin ACLU.  She says, after 40 years of a failed drug war, it's time to take a different approach.  Milwaukee's new law decriminalizes all pot possession under 25 grams.  In La Crosse, police only have the option to write a ticket instead of arresting someone possessing pot and the amount is signigicantly lower; just 7 grams.
